Terms Applying to All Trainings
What Our Trainings Are — and Are Not
Our programmes are professional training. They are not personal therapy, and they are not retreats arranged for your own healing.
Demonstrations conducted by the trainer are for teaching purposes and are not full individual sessions. Complex or in-depth personal work requires a multi-session process and is outside the scope of a training programme. If you wish to explore something personal, we recommend booking a private session separately, before or after the programme.
On personal experience during training. Our trainings work with states of consciousness, and individual experience varies considerably. Some participants have strong experiences during the programme; others need continued practice afterwards; for others the experience is subtle rather than vivid.
Not experiencing a particular state during training is normal, and is not a failure — understanding why a person may not enter a given state is itself part of learning to work with clients. No method can guarantee a particular inner experience, and the absence of one is not grounds for a refund or complaint.
You are joining to learn to guide others, not to act as a client. Please do not arrive with a list of personal issues expecting individualised therapy.
Eligibility, Health and Suitability
Our programmes are intensive. Days are long — residential programmes typically run from early morning until late evening, and on some days later. Full presence is required throughout.
If you have a physical or mental health condition that may affect your participation, please discuss it with us before the programme begins. We will talk it through honestly and, where appropriate, may recommend that you join a later batch. This is for your protection and the group's.
Where a programme uses audio or sound technology, including Hemi-Sync® and other binaural methods: if you have a history of epilepsy, seizures, serious auditory disorders, or severe mental health conditions, you must consult your physician before attending or before listening to any preparatory audio. Participation on this basis is your personal responsibility.
Once a programme has begun, refunds are not available for withdrawal on health grounds, as your place and accommodation have been reserved for the full duration.
You are responsible for disclosing anything relevant at the time of enrolment.
Enrolment and Confirmation of Place
Places are not confirmed by payment alone. Every applicant has an alignment discussion with our team first. A place is provisionally held once the registration fee is received.
Participation and accommodation are confirmed only after the full fee has been paid.
You will be asked to sign a training agreement on the first day of your programme confirming these terms. Nothing in that agreement will be new to you — it restates what is published here.
Fees and Payment
- The registration fee is non-refundable in all circumstances other than cancellation by us (see section 7). The amount is stated on the programme page and in the programme brochure.
- The balance of the programme fee is payable no later than 15 days before the programme start date.
- Outstanding balances are confirmed with you individually before the programme.
- Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the loss of your place. If you anticipate difficulty, please speak with us in advance rather than after the due date — we would rather find a solution.
- Fees quoted for a batch apply to that batch only. Where a place is transferred to a later batch, the fees of the later batch apply and any difference is payable by you.
Cancellation and Transfer by You
If you are unable to attend, tell us as early as you can. Your place can be transferred to the next batch of the same programme in either case below — what differs is the accommodation.
- 28 days or more before the start date: your place transfers in full to the next available batch. The registration fee is not refunded.
- Less than 28 days before the start date: your place still transfers, but the accommodation portion of the fee is deducted and is not recoverable, because the venue's booking is committed by that point. The remaining fees transfer to the next batch. Where the balance has not yet fallen due and the accommodation has therefore not been paid, that amount is payable before the transfer is confirmed.
Transferred fees are not fixed at the fees of your original batch. The fees of the batch you join apply. Where fees have increased in the interim, the difference is payable by you before your place is confirmed.
Places are personal to you. They may not be transferred to another person, nor to a different programme.
Some programmes carry costs that are not transferable — for example where certificates or materials are ordered from an external body in advance. Please check your programme annex in Part B.
No-Shows
If you do not attend and have not communicated with us beforehand, the full fee is forfeited, the place is not transferable, and no completion certificate is issued.
If you were unable to attend but told us at least 28 days in advance, section 5 applies.
Attending only part of a programme is treated as a no-show for certification purposes. See section 9.
Cancellation or Postponement by Us
If we cancel or postpone a programme for any reason, we will tell you immediately, and you may choose either:
- a full refund of course fees paid to us, including the registration fee; or
- a transfer of your place to the next batch, at that batch's fees.
We are not able to reimburse travel, visa or independently arranged accommodation costs. See section 8.
Travel and Accommodation
Please book refundable travel tickets. If a programme is cancelled or postponed for any reason, we are not responsible for non-refundable flight, train or independent accommodation bookings.
Shared accommodation. Where you have opted for shared accommodation and no sharing partner is available, single-occupancy charges apply and the difference is payable by you. We will tell you as early as we can, but this cannot be adjusted at the venue.
Residential programmes are held at privately owned venues. These venues are not owned or operated by Soul Consciousness Lab®, and their rules, facilities and policies are their own. We select venues carefully but do not govern them.
Accommodation is reserved on your behalf in advance. From 28 days before the programme start date, the accommodation portion of your fee is not recoverable, regardless of when or why you cancel, because the venue's own booking is committed by that point.
If you arrive before the programme begins or stay beyond it, those arrangements are between you and the venue directly, and we are not responsible for the venue's occupancy, staffing or facilities outside programme dates.
Attendance
Full attendance is required. All sessions form part of the programme, including early morning practice, evening sessions, and any night practice scheduled as part of the learning.
Partial attendance may result in certification being withheld. Where hours are missed, for illness or any other reason, additional training days may be required before certification, and a charge may apply.
Participants are asked to remain within the retreat space for the duration of a residential programme unless absolutely necessary.
Certification Criteria
Certification is not automatic on attendance or payment. Depending on the programme, it is assessed on:
- full attendance for the entire programme;
- demonstration of the practical techniques taught;
- successful completion of any verbal, written or practical assessment, case studies and assignments;
- professional conduct, presence and ethical understanding;
- peer and trainer feedback meeting an acceptable standard.
The specific criteria for your programme are set out in its annex in Part B.
The decision on certification rests with the lead trainer and Soul Consciousness Lab®, and is final. It is made on your overall performance, skill and readiness.
If Certification Is Not Achieved
Fees pay for the training delivered, not for the certificate. Where a participant does not meet the certification criteria, fees, including accommodation and meals, are not refunded, as the trainer's time and guidance have been given in full.
At our discretion, you may be invited to attend a further batch to demonstrate the required standard. Where this is offered, the fees of that batch are payable in full.
Where full certification is withheld, we will on request provide a written record of your attendance and the hours you completed.
Code of Conduct
Everyone in the room is entitled to respect, safety and space for their own process. We ask all participants to:
- treat trainers and fellow participants with respect at all times;
- respect other participants' personal and emotional space;
- keep phones on silent or in flight mode, and use them only during breaks;
- allow silence where silence is needed;
- avoid late nights and excessive stimulation before and during the programme, and arrive well rested;
- refrain from alcohol and recreational substances before and throughout the programme.
Prescribed medication should be continued as advised by your doctor. Please tell us at enrolment if this is relevant to your participation.
Abusive, disrespectful or disruptive behaviour, whether verbal or physical, and whether directed at a trainer or another participant, may result in immediate dismissal from the programme with all fees forfeited and no certificate or membership issued. The same applies to the use of alcohol or recreational substances during a residential programme.
We do not apply this lightly, and we would always rather resolve a difficulty in conversation. But the safety of the group comes first, and where it is compromised we will act without delay.
Confidentiality
What is shared in the room stays in the room. Participants often share personal material during practice sessions. You may speak about your own experience afterwards; you may not share what another participant disclosed, in any form, including online.
This applies during the programme and permanently afterwards.
Photography, Recording and Media
We photograph and record our trainings, both in person and online, and use this material to explain and promote our courses in print and online. By enrolling you confirm that you are aware of this and have no objection to your image or voice appearing in material issued by Soul Consciousness Lab®.
If you would prefer not to appear in promotional material, tell us in writing before the programme begins or at any point during it, and we will ensure you are not included. This has no effect on your participation.
Recording and photography by participants is not permitted at any Soul Consciousness Lab® programme — this includes practice sessions, demonstrations and training content, in any format.
Posting training content online without our written permission is a serious breach. It will result in the cancellation of your membership and affiliation with Soul Consciousness Lab®, and the relevant certifying bodies will be notified.
Where we wish to use your written or spoken feedback publicly, we will ask you separately.
Training Materials and Intellectual Property
All training materials are owned by Soul Consciousness Lab®, including the design, graphics and text of all printed and digital materials.
When you are given access to training materials you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them. No material may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed, distributed or linked to, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.
Unauthorised use constitutes an infringement of our ownership and may result in withdrawal of certification and affiliation.
Use of Our Name and Logos
Completing a training does not entitle you to use the Soul Consciousness Lab® name or logo, or those of our certifying partners, in your own practice, marketing or training material.
You may display your certificates, and state that you have been trained and certified by Soul Consciousness Lab® in the specific programme you completed.
You may not use our name or logos, or those of IPHM® or the Michael Newton Institute (USA), in your branding, promotional material or training material unless you have:
- completed our Train the Trainer programme and signed the required commercial partnership agreement; or
- registered independently with IPHM as a certified therapist and paid their membership fees, in which case you may use their designation on their terms; or
- completed Life Between Lives training with the Michael Newton Institute (USA), in which case their terms apply.
Certification by us entitles you to apply to these bodies. It does not itself confer their designation.
Shamanism graduates. There is no global governing body for shamanism, and we do not claim one. Your certification is issued by Soul Consciousness Lab® and stands on the training you completed and the hours recorded on it.
You may state that you were trained and certified by Soul Consciousness Lab® in the level you completed, and display your certificate. On completing Level 4 you may describe yourself as a Shamanic Practitioner trained by Soul Consciousness Lab®.
You may not describe yourself as accredited, licensed or registered in shamanism by any body, because no such registration exists. Graduates who wish to hold general therapist accreditation may apply to IPHM independently, on their terms and at their cost; that accreditation is theirs, not ours, and does not accredit shamanic practice specifically.
Moral and Ethical Conduct
Ethical conduct is the foundation of this work. The wellbeing of the people our graduates serve is our highest priority, and we hold it above any commercial consideration.
Where we are notified of, or become aware of, a graduate acting unethically — personally or professionally — we will dissociate ourselves from that individual professionally and personally, and withdraw all associated services, certification and affiliation.
Soul Consciousness Lab® cannot be held responsible, personally or organisationally, for any loss or situation arising from the conduct of an individual graduate.
Personal Data
We collect only what we need to deliver your training, issue certification and maintain the participant register. Health information you disclose is used solely to support your safe participation and is not shared beyond those who need it.
Certification records are retained permanently so that a certificate can be verified against its number in future.
Post-Training Support
Support after a programme varies by training and is set out in its annex. It generally includes access to the participant community and periodic group meetings.
One-to-one personal mentoring is not included unless separately arranged. Integration happens primarily through your own continued practice.
Membership arrangements, support models and any associated fees may change over time at our discretion. Continued participation is subject to the terms in effect at that time.
Conduct After Certification
Certification carries responsibility. Where a certified graduate is found to be in serious breach of these terms, our policies, or professional ethics, whether during or after training, we may withdraw certification and any associated membership or accreditation, and end the association with Soul Consciousness Lab®.
Where an external certifying body is involved, we are obliged to notify them, and they may apply their own sanctions.
Changes to a Programme
Programme details are correct at the time of publication. We may need to adjust content, timings, trainers or venue. Where changes are material — particularly a change of dates — we will notify you promptly, and you may request a refund of course fees as set out in section 7.
Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Where a programme cannot proceed because of government restriction, natural disaster, serious illness of the trainer, venue closure or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will postpone it and communicate revised dates as soon as they are known, following any applicable official guidance.
In these circumstances, section 7 applies.
Professional Outcomes
Our trainings prepare you to practise. They do not establish a practice for you.
Soul Consciousness Lab® is not responsible for the setting up, marketing, profitability or success of your practice, or for the results obtained in sessions you conduct with your own clients. These depend on many factors outside our control and are your sole responsibility.
We hold no professional or legal association with any business entity you establish, and are not responsible for your legal, regulatory or professional matters.
Limitation of Liability
Soul Consciousness Lab® does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information given, or views expressed, during its training programmes or in its course materials. Opinions expressed are those of individual trainers and not necessarily those of Soul Consciousness Lab®. Participants should take professional advice when dealing with specific situations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soul Consciousness Lab® shall not be liable for any loss of use, lost or inaccurate data, failure of training methods, interruption of business, costs of delay, or any indirect, special, incidental, reliance or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort including negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and even if informed of the possibility of such damages in advance.
Governing Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bangalore have jurisdiction.
Any terms shared with you in writing at the time of registration form part of this agreement.
Programme-Specific Terms
These cover only what differs from Part A for each programme.
Past Life Regression & Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Training
Professional therapist training · Residential and live online · Bangalore
Programme Focus
This is professional therapist training, not a personal-therapy retreat. It is entirely normal not to experience a regression yourself during practice sessions; this is not the goal. You are here to learn to guide clients through regression as a therapist, including clients who find it difficult.
Schedule
Sessions run from approximately 6.30 am to 9.00 pm daily.
Certification
Awarded on full attendance, demonstrated practical skill in inductions, regression facilitation, therapeutic dialogue and closure, successful assessment, professional ethics and conduct, and peer and trainer feedback — at the trainer's discretion.
Enrolment Agreement
You will sign a training agreement on day one confirming these terms. Where a separate signed Enrolment Agreement exists, it continues to govern your registration alongside these terms.
NGH (USA) Hypnotherapy Certification
Externally certified · Residential · 160 hours
Programme Focus
The purpose is to train you as a professional hypnotherapist, not to ensure that you personally are hypnotised during the course. If you do not achieve hypnosis during practice, that is a valuable learning opportunity in understanding client resistance.
The trainer does not conduct full-length personal hypnosis or regression sessions during the programme.
Certification Requirements
- Completion of the full 160 hours of training
- Demonstration of inductions, regression facilitation, therapeutic dialogue and closure techniques
- Successful completion of written tests, case studies and assignments
- Professional ethics, presence and conduct expected of a certified hypnotherapist
Participants who do not complete the full 160 hours, for any reason, may be required to attend further training days, for which a charge may apply. Certification is issued only on full completion.
Certificate Costs on Transfer
Certificates are ordered from NGH well in advance of each programme. This cost is not transferable to a later batch and is payable again if your place is transferred.
Venue
The residential venue is on Kanakpura Road, Bangalore — outside the main city, approximately 70 km from Bangalore Airport, which is itself around 50 km outside the city. Please allow for this in travel planning.
Withdrawal of Certification
Breach of these terms or of our policies, during or after the course, may result in withdrawal of your certificates together with NGH, SCL and any associated memberships.
QSR Training
Professional therapist training · 4 days
Programme Focus
This is professional training, not a personal-therapy retreat. Some participants enter QSR states during the programme and some do not, including those who have attempted it previously with another therapist. If you do not enter a QSR state during the training, this is entirely fine — and where it happens during a demonstration, it is treated as a meaningful learning experience for the whole group.
Your own QSR experience is not a formal part of the training, and no personal session is conducted during the programme. You will instead learn how to work with clients who find QSR challenging, the full therapeutic structure, and why techniques must follow a particular sequence.
Schedule
Daily sessions run from approximately 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, and on some days to midnight, with breaks. Full presence is required.
Certification
Awarded on full attendance, demonstration of practical techniques, successful assessment, and the professional ethics, presence and conduct expected of a certified QSR therapist.
Post-Training Support
- QSR certification on full completion
- Monthly group meetings with Dr. Rashhi Sharma
- Access to the participant community for practice sessions
Out-of-Body Experience Training
Experiential retreat
About the Experience
Participants experience this work differently. Some have strong experiences during the retreat; others require continued practice afterwards. Experiences may be visual, sensory, or subtle.
No method can guarantee an out-of-body experience. The retreat provides the environment, methods and guidance; the experience depends on your own readiness and practice.
The absence of an experience during the retreat is not grounds for a refund or complaint.
Transfers
Transfers follow the general rule in section 5. A no-show without prior communication results in forfeiture of fees.
Exploring Consciousness — Monroe Institute Methods
Residential · Uses Hemi-Sync® audio technology
Mandatory Preparation
This training uses Monroe Institute–based Hemi-Sync® audio technology. If you are new to Hemi-Sync, you are required to listen to the Gateway Voyage® Introductory Exercise before attending. Listening once or several times beforehand helps your nervous system become familiar with the technology and significantly improves your experience during the programme.
Preparation audio is provided to you on enrolment.
Medical Disclaimer
If you have a history of epilepsy, seizures, serious auditory disorders, or severe mental health conditions, you must consult your physician before listening to Hemi-Sync audio or attending this training. Participation is your personal responsibility.
What to Bring
- A journal and pen — mandatory, for recording experiences and insights
- Comfortable, loose clothing, preferably in layers
- A light blanket or shawl
- Pillows, if you need additional support during lying-down exercises
- Socks or slippers, and a water bottle
- Optional: an eye mask for deeper inward focus
Please dress modestly and comfortably for a shared retreat environment.
Rest and Readiness
Please arrive well rested. Hemi-Sync exercises are deeply relaxing and work best when body and mind are not fatigued. Avoid heavy meals immediately before sessions.
Accommodation
Where shared accommodation has been booked and no sharing partner is available, single-occupancy charges apply. No adjustments can be made at the venue.
Shamanism Training
Four-level pathway · 100% residential · Bangalore
The Circle
This work moves deeply, and the safety of the circle protects everyone in it. In addition to the general code of conduct:
- Confidentiality is absolute. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
- No alcohol or recreational substances before or during the retreat. This is not negotiable, and breach results in immediate dismissal with fees forfeited.
- Phones remain silent or in flight mode during sessions.
- Every participant's personal process and emotional space is respected. Persistent disregard for this results in dismissal from the programme.
- Silence is allowed where silence is needed.
We work with the drum and rattle. No psychoactive plant or substance is used at any point in this training.
About the Experience
This is experiential training. Participants experience the work differently, and the depth of experience varies between individuals and between sessions. Variation in personal experience is normal and is not grounds for a refund or complaint.
Attendance
All sessions form part of the training, including morning and evening individual practice, night practice, and the dream work and discussion that accompany it. These are not optional additions — they are where much of the learning happens, and they are counted in the certified practice hours.
Certification
Certification for each level is issued by Soul Consciousness Lab® on:
- full attendance for the entire level;
- active participation in all practices;
- conduct consistent with the code above and with the ethical principles taught.
Levels 1 to 3 certify completion of training at that depth. Practitioner standing is conferred on completion of Level 4. No level of this training constitutes a licence to practise, or a medical or psychological qualification.
How You May Describe Your Training
Shamanism has no global governing body, and we make no claim otherwise. Your certificate stands on the training completed and the hours recorded on it, issued by Soul Consciousness Lab®.
You may state that you were trained and certified by Soul Consciousness Lab® at the level you completed. On completing Level 4 you may describe yourself as a Shamanic Practitioner trained by Soul Consciousness Lab®. You may not describe yourself as accredited or registered in shamanism by any external body. See section 16.
Progression
There is no obligation to continue beyond Level 1. Entry to each subsequent level follows an eligibility discussion, and fees for each level are confirmed at that stage.
Accommodation
Where shared accommodation has been booked and no sharing partner is available, single-occupancy charges apply and the difference is payable by you.
Questions About These Terms
